The Natural Park of Cabo de Gata-Nijar, in the province of Almeria in Andalusia, is one of the few places in southern Europe that remains in a natural state.

Pristine beaches (Mónsul, Genoveses, El Playazo, Cala de Enmedio, etc ...), hidden coves, cliffs, ravines, volcanic mountains contrast with the remains of a vernacular architecture of farmhouses, windmills and wells scattered throughout the landscape.
